Keane lifts Galaxy to success; Union pound Kansas; Montreal hammer Houston; Quakes win at RSL

LA Galaxy 3 – Vancouver Whitecaps 0 (MLS, June 23, 2012) Mike Magee opened the scoring following a 16th minute corner, while Robbie Keane marked his return from Euro 2012 with a well taken goal on the half hour mark. Landon Donovan wrapped up the win with a 41st minute penalty.

Toronto FC 2 – New England Revolution 2 (MLS, June 23, 2012) Danny Koevermans put Toronto ahead in the 4th minute and Ryan Johnson doubled the lead in the 42nd with the Canadians’ second header of the game. Blake Brettschneider cut the deficit in half in the 71st minute as he knocked in a rebound past Toronto goalie Milos Kocic, before Chris Tierney secured a point for the visitors scoring in second-half stoppage time.

Philadelphia Union 4 – Sporting Kansas City 0 (MLS, June 23, 2012) Jack McInerney scored twice as Philadelphia got back on the winning trial.

Montreal Impact 4 – Houston Dynamo 2 (MLS, June 23, 2012) Goals from Hassoun Camara, Patrice Bernier, Sanna Nyassi and Davy Arnaud earned the Impact victory.

Chicago Fire 2 – Columbus Crew 1 (MLS, June 23, 2012) Marco Pappa and Dominic Oduro scored in the first 26 minutes as the Chicago Fire claimed the points.

Real Salt Lake 1 – San Jose Earthquakes 2 (MLS, June 23, 2012) Alan Gordon broke the deadlock in the 75th minute for the Quakes and, after Javier Morales had equalised soon after for RSL, Gordon teed up Chris Wondolowski for the late winner.
