Adelaide United 1 – Gold Coast United 1 (A-League, November 20, 2009) The visitors were dealt a blow in the first half when Kristian Rees was shown a red card in the 33rd minute for bringing down Matthew Leckie. But Gold Coast made light of their numerical disadvantage as Steve Fitzsimmons headed home a Zenon Caravella cross in the 64th minute. It seemed they would hold out for the three points but Leckie danced through the defence in injury time before despatching a low shot into the corner of the net.
