Elliott nudged Ross Wallace’s cross in at the near post to level and Sean St Ledger reacted quickest to stab home after Jon Parkin’s header hit the bar. Chris Sedgwick’s mishit shot was then turned in by Elliott to seal the win.

Burnley 0 – Swansea 2 (Championship, January 10, 2008) Jason Scotland’s brace ended Swansea’s run of eight consecutive Championship draws against 10-man Burnley.


Al-Wehda 1 – Bayern Munich 3 (Friendly, January 12, 2008) Franck Ribery scored on the half hour for Bayern, turning in the box before finding the bottom corner. Four minutes later Tim Borowski crashed in the second. Al-Kuwaikabi scored a superb solo goal to give the hosts something to cheer about, while Landon Donovan marked his recent move from the LA Galaxy with his first Bayern goal in injury time.
