Roma win at Fiorentina; Inter ease past Cagliari; AC Milan held; Di Natale trips for Udinese; Lazio lose again

Fiorentina 0 – Roma 1 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) Roma’s good form continuedwith a fine win at The Viola. Mirko Vucinic scored the only goal of the game with six minutes remaining when he dound himself with time and space in the Fiorentina area from a corner.

Inter Milan 3 – Cagliari 0 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) Inter raced into a 2-goal lead against Cagliari, newbee Goran Pandev bagged the opener after just six minutes when he converted following Eto’o’s parried shot and Walter Samuel crashed home a header from a corner after 20 minutes. Inter’s front three of Eto’o, Pandev and Diego Milito combined brilliantly at the start of the second half as the Argentine slotted in number three.

Bologna 0 – AC Milan 0 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) The Rossoneri twice hit the bar as they piled on the pressure in the second half, Ronaldinho coming within inches of finding the net with a fine volley from a corner.

Udinese 3 – Napoli 1 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) Antonio Di Natale put Udinese in the lead at home to Napoli with a goal after seven minutes, but a wonderful through-ball from Marek Hamsik set up the visitors’ leveller after 20 minutes which Cristian Maggio eventually stuck in the net. It was a bittersweet day for Maggio though as he was dismissed on the stroke of halftime for a second bookable offence. Di Natale bagged his second after the break, and the evergreen striker netted his second hat-trick of the season with a 91st minute scissors-kick.

Siena 1 – Sampdoria 2 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) A back post header from Daniele Gastaldello from a corner put Samp into the lead at Siena after just three minutes. Nicola Pozzi out Samp two up after the break, Massimo Maccarone netting a late consolation for Siena.

Genoa 1 – Chievo 0 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) A tidy strike from Marco Rossi in the 62nd minute put Genoa in front at home to Chievo.

Lazio 0 – Catania 1 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) Maxi Lopez popped up in the 65th minute to settle the tie and deepen Lazio’s worries.

Atalanta 1 – Bari 0 (Serie A, February 7, 2010) Atalanta eased their relegation worries with a much-needed win over Bari, an 84th minute strike from substitute Simone Tiribocchi enough to secure all three points.
