Palermo down Juventus 2-1; Chievo stun Napoli & Roma held by Brescia

Palermo 2 – Juventus 1 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Palermo came out the traps in speedy fashion and were 2-0 up within 20 minutes. First Javier Pastore brilliantly set up Fabrizio Miccoli for the opener and then Giulio Migliaccio headed home a corner. Claudio Marchisio fizzed in a low strike to give the Old Lady some hope.

Chievo 2 – Napoli 0 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Davide Moscardelli curled home a beautiful opener. Genarro Sardo notched number two. Second placed Napoli failed to gain ground on AC Milan.

Roma 1 – Brescia 1 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Marco Borriello smashed in the opener just before the hour mark in off the bar. Claudio Ranieri’s side were denied all three points by a well directed Eder header.

Udinese 1 – Bologna 1 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Veteran goal scorer Marco Di Vaio scored the opener, Maurizio Domizzi equalised for Udinese.

Fiorentina 1 – Genoa 0 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Mario Santana capitalised on yet another woeful mistake from Genoa keeper Eduardo to lift the the recent pressure that had started to build on The Viola.

Parma 0 – Lecce 1 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) A late late Ernesto Chevanton header won the game for Lecce to push them up to just one point behind Parma in the table.

Cesena 1 – Catania 1 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Maxi Lopez put Catania ahead on 9 minutes. Luis Jimenez equalised on the half hour.

Sampdoria 0 – Cagliari 1 (Serie A, February 2, 2011) Radja Nainggolan scored the winner with a cracking long range effort.
