Lazio beat Roma 3-2 in the derby; Fiorentina stun Milan; Napoli’s crazy comeback downs Genoa

Lazio 3 – Roma 2 (Serie A, November 11, 2012) (Extended highlights.) A diving header from Erik Lamela gave Roma a 9th minute lead over Lazio in the derby, but it was all-square later in the half as Antonio Candreva equalised with a powerful free-kick. Lazio completed their turnaround on the stroke of halftime as Miroslav Klose scored his first Rome derby goal to make 2-1. Roma’s match feel apart when Daniele De Rossi was sent off before the break for punching Mauri in the face. Lazio moved 3-1 ahead thanks to Stefano Mauri’s low drive in the second half. Lazio had Mauri sent off late on, and Roma capitalised when Miralem Pjanic floated brilliant free-kick into the net.

AC Milan 1 – Fiorentina 3 (Serie A, November 11, 2012) Fiorentina took the lead against AC Milan courtesy of a tidy strike from Alberto Aquilani. Milan should have drawn level when the won a penalty but Alexandre Pato blazed the opportunity over the bar, and it instantly got worse for the Rossoneri as appalling defending from Mexes allowed Borja Valero to waltz through and score. Milan got on the scoreboard through Giampaolo Pazzini on the hour, but the Viola claimed all three points when Mounir El Hamdaoui curled in a beauty late on.

Genoa 2 – Napoli 4 (Serie A, November 11, 2012) Genoa went 1-up over Napoli when an attack fell to Ciro Immobile near the penalty spot and the striker powered home the opener. Napoli equalised through Giandomenico Mesto in the second half but Andrea Bertolacci put the hosts back in front. Edinson Cavani pulled Napoli level went he broke the offside trap, rounded the keeper and scored. Napoli secured an amazing win when Marek Hamsik headed home a late late winner. Amazingly Napoli scored an injury time fourth through Lorenzo Insigne.

Chievo 2 – Udinese 2 (Serie A, November 11, 2012) Marco Andreolli put Chievo ahead with a close range finish, but Udinese were level at the break courtesy of Gabriele Angella’s diving header. Alberto Paloschi looked like giving Chievo the points with a late penalty, but Udinese snatched a 90th minute equaliser through Gabriele Angella.

Torino 1 – Bologna 0 (Serie A, November 11, 2012)  A header from Danilo D’Ambrosio put Torino ahead against Bologna midway through the second half.

Palermo 2 – Sampdoria 0 (Serie A, November 11, 2012) Debutant Paulo Dybala rattled a sweet left-footer into the Samp near post to give Palermo a second half lead. Paulo Dybala killed the game with a second in the 71st.
