Catania 1 – Juventus 1 (Serie A, May 2, 2010) Catania defender Matias Silvestre was in the right place at the right time to convert a rebound after Gigi Buffon had saved an initial free-kick. The Bianconeri pulled level early in the second half when a back-to-front move ended with Claudio Marchisio netting the equaliser.
Sampdoria 2 – Livorno 0 (Serie A, May 2, 2010) Antonio Cassano needed five minutes to put Samp ahead of Livorno – the striker’s 100th Serie A goal of his career. Former Spurs man Reto Ziegler sealed the victory with a well struck free kick.
Siena 1 – Palermo 2 (Serie A, May 2, 2010) Edinson Cavani put Palermo in front against Siena midway through the first half. Fabrizio Miccoli sealed the win on the hour continuing his excellent form this season. Emanuele Calaio gave the home side some hope with 10 minutes to go.
Cagliari 2 – Udinese 2 (Serie A, May 2, 2010) Andrea Lazzari’s opener for Cagliari was quickly cancelled out by Antonio Di Natale, and Udinese were ahead 120 seconds later when Alexis Sanchez bagged the Zebrette’s second. Cagliari pulled back on level terms when Jeda equalised just before the hour.
