VIDEO: Crouch double glosses England win over Egypt; Argentina win in Germany; Classy Spain sink France

England 3 – Egypt 1 (International Friendly, March 3, 2010) (Longer official highlights here and Extended highlights here.) Wembley was stunned after 22 minutes against Egypt as the African Cup of Nations champions took the lead when Mohamed Zidan took advantage of Upson’s slip and fired his shot past Green. The Three Lions levelled in the 57th minute when an incisive attack involving Gerrard and Barry was finished off by sub Peter Crouch from 6-yards. England got their noses in front 15 minutes from time when a cross from Baines was whacked on target by Barry, El Hadary parried the shot but Shaun Wright-Phillips was on hand to power home the rebound. England added a third for good measure, Wright-Phillips crossed from the right and Crouch (offside) tucked home his second of the match.

Germany 0 – Argentina 1 (International Friendly, March 3, 2010) (Longer highlights here.) German keeper Rene Adler was at fault for conceding the opener to the Argentine’s the keeper raced out his goal to try and beat Gonzalo Higuain to the ball, he failed, and the Real Madrid striker rolled the ball into the net.

France 0 – Spain 2 (International Friendly, March 3, 2010) (Longer highlights here.) Spain’s international goalscorer extraordinaire David Villa scored yet another tidy goal to hand the visitors the lead in France, coolly placing his shot past Lloris from 18-yards. Spain doubled their lead through Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos, the full-back breaking into the box before cutting inside of Escude and seeing his shot deflect off the defender and past Lloris.
