Brazil close in on a football medal

Brazil are closing in on a football medal at the Olympics, which in truth, was the least expected of a strong side on home soil.

Neymar drilled Brazil into a 1-0 lead after 12 minutes against Colombia, to ease their progression into the semi-finals.

The Barcelona star was then booked before half-time for starting a fight which included plenty of players from both sides.

Neymar grabs an assist as well

To complete an eventful match for Neymar and Brazil, the Barcelona attacker provided the assist for Luan to finish off the game on 83 minutes.

Luan, who plays his club football for Gremio, has now scored in consecutive games at The Olympics and looks to be a fine player in the making.

Brazil will face Honduras in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

See Neymar’s free-kick, the melee and his booking plus the Luan goal below…
