Marseille strengthen title claim with fightback win; Toulouse’s Champions League hopes suffer a blow

A suicidal error from Gomis presented Ireneusz Jelen with a simple chance to equalise five minutes from time amd just three minutes later Jelen struck again with a super lob to steal the points.

Le Havre 0 – Grenoble 1 (Ligue 1, April 26, 2009) A goal from Pierre Boya gave Grenoble a hard-fought win against a game Le Havre side, whose relegation fate becomes ever more inevitable.

Nice 3 – St. Etienne 1 (Ligue 1, April 26, 2009) Chaouki Ben Saada put Nice 1-up before a Sable free-kick was not dealt with the hapless Tavlaridis turning the ball into this own net. Eric Mouloungui’s daisy-cutter put the game to bed, Ilan heading a late late consolation St. Etienne.

Toulouse 1 – Lorient 1 (Ligue 1, April 26, 2009) Defender Mauro Cetto levelled for the hosts with one minute remaining, cancelling out Andre Ayew’s opener for Lorient in the 85th minute to leave Toulouse fifth in the standings.

Le Mans 0 – Monaco 1 (Ligue 1, April 26, 2009) Chu-Young Park’s 86th minute effort proved to be difference between the two sides in a keenly-fought contest.

Nancy 2 – Nantes 0 (Ligue 1, April 26, 2009) Nancy claimed a third consecutive success as they proved too strong for lowly Nantes, Julien Feret (55) put Pablo Correa’s side in front, before Andre Luiz rounded things off from the penalty spot on 67 minutes.

Sochaux 1 – Valenciennes 1 (Ligue 1, April 26, 2009) Sochaux needed an injury-time equaliser from Vaclav Sverkos to salvage a 1-1 draw from a home contest with Valenciennes. The visitors had taken the lead on 62 minutes through Amara Bangoroa.
