Ligue 1: Lille win thriller despite Lopez’s hat-trick for Lyon; Grenoble snatch first win of season; Nancy stop the rot with win over Auxerre

Lille 4 – Lyon 3 (Ligue 1, December 6, 2009) Lyon came off worst in a seven goal feast in Sunday’s late game, the multiple former champions losing 4-3 at Lille. Lyon looked set for a victory which woeuld have jumped them up into second place after a first half hat-trick by Argentina striker Lisandro Lopez, but Lille dug deep and Gervinho’s injury time contribution clinched the three points.

Grenoble 1 – Toulouse 0 (Ligue 1, December 6, 2009) Bottom club Grenoble earned their first victory of the Ligue 1 season when a late Nicolas Dieuze goal gave them a 1-0 home win against Toulouse.

Auxerre 1 – Nancy 3 (Ligue 1, December 6, 2009) Andre Luiz headed Chris Malonga’s corner home to give Nancy the lead on 26 minutes, but Valter Birsa’s free-kick eight minutes later brought Auxerre back on level terms. Another Malonga corner provided Nancy’s second goal for Abdeslam Ouaddou five minutes into the second half and Youssouf Hadji made sure of the win four minutes from time. Nancy then had Bocundji Ca sent off in stoppage time following a bad foul on Delvin Ndinga.

Boulogne 2 – Lens 1 (Ligue 1, December 6, 2009) Boulogne moved up to third bottom in the table after the 10 men produced a solid display to beat Lens 2-1 at home. Mame N’Diaye was sent off for a second bookable offence for Boulogne after just 17 minutes and Bira Dembele’s own goal four minutes later gifted Lens the lead. Ovidy Karuru levelled on 38 minutes and five minutes later Boulogne had the winner through Damien Perrinelle.
