Ligue 1 goals: Marseille go top with a 4-1 win over Grenoble; Lyon drop points drawing with Monaco

Lyon 2 – Monaco 2 (Ligue 1, April 12, 2009) Monaco took the lead in the 34th minute when Chu-Young Park broke free down the left and pulled the ball back for Jerko Leko to turn home. Lyon equalised on 65 minutes when Stephane Ruffier failed to collect a cross, leaving defender Cris with a simple header. Monaco were back in front 42 seconds later when Juan Pablo Pino broke the offside trap, coolly skipped around goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and then slipped the ball home from a tight angle. Lyon rallied, and Frederic Piquionne found an equaliser in the 82nd minute with an overhead kick that sent Ruffier the wrong way.

Marseille 4 – Grenoble 1 (Ligue 1, April 12, 2009) (Longer highlights here.) Marseille waited until the 52nd minute for their opener, Taiwo converted a penalty after Battles brought down Mathieu Valbuena. Hilton made it two seven minutes later, heading home a Valbuena corner. Taiwo sealed Marseille’s victory when he blasted in a free-kick in the 65th and Brandao added another one minute from time. Laurent Courtois scored Grenoble’s consolation goal four minutes into added time.

Lille 0 – PSG 0 (Ligue 1, April 12, 2009) Lille hardly gave their opponents a kick in the first half (highlights here), although PSG goalkeeper Mickael Landreau was not fully stretched. Eden Hazard and Bastos tested Landreau before the break. (Second half highlights here.)
