Grosso saves Lyon’s blushes; Wins for PSG and Bordeaux

Lyon 2 – Lille 2 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) Rami stunned the home fans with the opener for Lille on 14 minutes, but Chedjou’s unfortunate own goal gifted Lyon the equaliser eight minutes later. Bastos restored Lille’s lead just past the hour mark with a stunning free-kick from 35-yards, only for Grosso to salvage a share of the spoils for Lyon 14 minutes from time.

PSG 3 – Lorient 2 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) Rafik Saifi stunned the home fans when he gave Lorient the lead on 22 minutes, but Fabrice Pancrate drew PSG level six minutes later. Fabrice Abriel restored Lorient’s lead on 38 minutes only for Guillaume Hoarau to equalise three minutes into the second half. PSG grabbed the winner three minutes from time when Loris Arnaud found the net.

Caen 2 – Grenoble 2 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) Nassim Akrour gave Grenoble the lead on 18 minutes, but Caen turned the game on its head with goals from Steve Savidan (24, penalty) and Nicolas Florentin (58). Moreira secured Grenoble a share of the spoils with an equaliser 17 minutes from time.

Bordeaux 2 – Toulouse 1 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) A stunning moment of individual skill allowed Yoan Gourcoff to give Bordeaux the lead on 29 minutes and David Bellion doubled the lead five minutes before the break. Capoue pulled a goal back deep into injury-time, but it proved too little too late for Toulouse.

Sochaux 1 – Le Havre 1 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) Amadou Alassane gave basement boys Le Havre the lead a minute before the break, but Valter Birsa 71st minute equaliser ensured Sochaux stay off the bottom.

Nantes 1 – St. Etienne 0 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) Christian Bekamenga scored the only goal of the game on 27 minutes to give Nantes the points.

Monaco 1 – Nice 2 (Ligue 1, October 18, 2008) Habib Bamogo fired the visitors in front after just eight minutes only for Leandro Cufre to draw Monaco level from the penalty spot on 38 minutes. Emerse Fae netted the winner for Nice just before the hour mark and Monaco’s miserable night was compounded in the final minute when Jerko Leko was sent off.
