Goals in France: Montpellier & Lyon keep up the pressure on Bordeaux

Montpellier 3 – Rennes 1 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Montpellier drew level on points with Bordeaux thanks to a brace from Joris Marveaux who was facing off against his brother Sylvain. Jimmy Briand pulled one back for Rennes but Souleymane Camara completed the win.

Lyon 2 – Nice 0 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Lisandro Lopez put Lyon in front at home to Nice, tapping home at the back post. Lyon’s second came from Nice defender Onyekachi Apam who scored into his own net under pressure from Gomis.

Lorient 1 – Sochaux 0 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Sigamary Diarra gave Lorient the win at home against Sochaux.

Nancy 0 – Grenoble 2 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Yoric Ravet scored a fine right-footed opener, he may not have scored this season prior to this match but Yoric Ravet announced himself to French football with the second from a free-kick.

Monaco 1 – Boulogne 0 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Moussa Maazou, on loan from CSKA Moscow, grabbed Monaco’s winner in the first half.

Valenciennes 1 – Saint Etienne 0 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Johan Audel volleyed home at the back post for the only goal of the game on 76 minutes.

Toulouse 1 – Lens 0 (Ligue 1, February 27, 2010) Kevin Dupius capitalised on some pretty poor defending to give the home side the victory.
