Wins for Ajax & Feyenoord in Holland; Goals from Portugal, Turkey, Russia & much more

Ajax 6 – NAC Breda 0 (Eredivise, September 13, 2009) (Longer highlights here.) Ajax tore strips off of NAC in the first half in Amsterdam, Dario Cvitanich stroking home the opener after 10 minutes and Jan Vertonghen blasted in an unstoppable 17th minute free-kick to double the hosts lead. Unforgivable errors from NAC handed Luis Suarez a third in the 42nd minute and all too easily Cvitanich cash in his second in injury time at the end of the forty-five. Second half strikes from Kennedy Bakircioglu (more joke defending) and Cvitanich’s hat-trick goal sealed the one-sided contest.

VVV Venlo 1 – Heracles 0 (Eredivise, September 13, 2009) VVV Venlo’s Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda was again at the heart of the hosts’ opener against Heracles, the forward firing a free-kick on target which Sandro Calabro turned home. Honda then showed his feisty streak getting involved in two fouls inside 60 seconds.

Willem II 2 – Feyenoord 3 (Eredivise, September 13, 2009) (Longer highlights here.) Jonathan de Guzman curled a free-kick around the wall midway through the second half to earn Feyenoord the points.

Vitesse 2 – NEC 2 (Eredivise, September 13, 2009) Santi Kolk put Vitesse in the lead just before halftime, an advantage they kept until Claudemir Domingues da Souza added a second 11 minutes from time. That appeared to be enough to seal the points until Nijmegen hit back through Ramon Zomer (87) and Arek Radomski’s 93rd-minute deflected equaliser.
