Twente return to winning ways; Ajax hold Feyenoord; Gala & Fener win; Derbyshire leads Olympiakos

Utrecht 0 – Heracles 0 (Eredivisie, January 31, 2010) Heracles remain in fifth spot after earning a goalless draw at Utrecht. Utrecht ended the game with ten men after defender Mihai Nesu was sent off in stoppage time.


Pacos Ferreira 2 – Academica Coimbra 1 (Liga Sagres, January 31, 2010) Pacos staged a late fightback to beat Academica 2-1. Markus Berger put visitors Academica in front after 47 minutes but Ricardo equalised five minutes from the end and substitute Romeu Torres hit a 90th minute winner.

Vitoria Setubal 2 – Rio Ave 2 (Liga Sagres, January 31, 2010) Rio Ave had keeper Carlos sent off in the first minute and fell behind when Przemyslaw Kazmierczak tucked home a penalty three minutes later. Despite being a man down, Rio Ave then battled their way into a 2-1 lead, with striker Chidi Onyemah scoring after 45 and 74 minutes – his second goal coming a minute after Vitoria had Andre Pinto dismissed. Vitoria then had defender Ney Santos red carded in the 78th minute but three minutes later they levelled when Fernandes Neca scored to earn a point.
