Utrecht 0 – Feyenoord 0 (Eredivisie, February 14, 2010) Feyenoord dropped further behind the top three as they were held to a goalless draw at Utrecht.

Groningen 2 – RKC 1 (Eredivisie, February 14, 2010) Fredrik Stenman put Groningen ahead just before the break and Andreas Granqvist then doubled that lead on the hour from the penalty spot. RKC, who were reduced to 10 men after 65 minutes when Charlison Benschop was dismissed, grabbed a consolation in the final minute through Derk Boerrigter.

Sparta 2 – VVV Venlo 0 (Eredivisie, February 14, 2010) The home side were ahead within the opening 60 seconds as Joshua John scored. Edouard Duplan doubled that advantage on the half-hour, and Sparta could even cope with having Donovan Slijngard dismissed early in the second period.


Braga 2 – Maritimo 1 (Liga Sagres, February 14, 2010) Djalma equalised for Maritimo after Albert Meyong had put Braga in the lead and Luis Aguiar scored the winner in the 81st minute.


Manisaspor 2 – Fenerbahce 2 (Super Lig, February 14, 2010) Cristian gave Fener a 13th minute lead but a brace from Isaac Promise at the end of either half appeared to have won the game for Manisaspor. But the visitors salvaged a draw as Gokhan Gonul grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to keep Fener two clear of Istanbul rivals Galatasaray, who have a game in hand.

Denizlispor 1 – Kayserispor 0 (Super Lig, February 14, 2010) The moment of the match arrived midway through the second half as visiting keeper Souleymanou Hamidou raced out his goal to clear an attack, the goalie embarrassingly missed the ball completely and Emil Angelov had the simple job of rolling the ball in the unguarded net.

Antalyaspor 1 – Eskisehirspor 2 (Super Lig, February 14, 2010) Seventh-placed Eskisehirspor claimed their third win in four games with a 2-1 triumph at Antalyaspor to take themselves to within five points of fourth-placed Bursaspor.

Panathinaikos 0 – Kavala 2 (Greek Super League, February 14, 2010) A second half double from former Bolton midfielder Ebi Smolarek saw Kavala chalk up on of the shocks of the weekend beating Pana on their own patch.

Levadiakos 1 – Atromitos 1 (Greek Super League, February 14, 2010) The match ended explosively as Levadiakos’ Giorgos Barkoglou broke the deadlock with an 88th minute header from a corner only for Stelios Sfakianakis to equalise in injury time with another header from a corner.

Panionios 0 – Iraklis 0 (Greek Super League, February 14, 2010) The draw kept both sides in danger of being sucked into the relegation scrap.


Beitar Jerusalem – Maccabi Haifa 3 (Ligat ha’Al, February 14, 2010) Second half goals from Mohammad Ghadir, Shlomi Arbeitman and Gustavo Boccoli saw Haifa chalk up their 20th win in 22 league matches this season as the Greens continue to run away with the league title.
