PAOK on the brink of the Champions League after win at Olympiakos; Elfsborg smack AIK for four

Olympiakos 0 – PAOK 1 (Greek Super League play-offs, May 12, 2010) Vladimir Ivic finished a brilliant PAOK counter-attack just after the half hour to score the only goal of the game and leave PAOK in pole position for a European berth. The match was littered with yellow cards and dirty tackles, and tempers flared in injury time when Olof Mellberg and Pablo Contreras both saw red after butting heads in a heated exchange.

Aris 1 – AEK Athens 1 (Greek Super League play-offs, May 12, 2010) The hosts finally broke the AEK backline two minutes after the interval when Thanassis Prittas slid home a rebound, but AEK equalised deep into injury time when Leonardo capitalised on poor defending to score at the back post.


Elfsborg 4 – AIK Stockholm 0 (Allsvenskan, May 12, 2010) Denni Avdic (who opened with a terrific volley) netted a brace while Martin Ericsson and Amadou Jawo chipped in witha  goal apiece as Elfsborg strolled to three points against AIK.
