Watch the goals: Wins for Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Fulham & Sunderland

All the goals from Saturday’s action in the Premier League can be seen here.

West Brom 0 – Chelsea 3 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) (MOTD highlights here.) Jose Bosingwa cut in from the right and unleashed a superb shot with his left foot that arrowed into the near post. The second goal was all Nicolas Anelka, the Frenchman being sent clear 45-yards on goal and the number nine bore down on Carson before beating him with a deft finish. And in injury time at the end of the opening 45 Chelsea killed the game when Anelka scored his second after good work from Kalou.

Manchester United 5 – Stoke 0 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) (MOTD highlights here.) Cristiano Ronaldo blasted United in front with a free-kick that deceived Sorensen in the fourth minute. With half-time approaching, Park lifted a shot just over the bar, but United doubled their lead just before the whistle as Michael Carrick fired home a fine left-footed strike. United killed the game three minutes into the second half when the ball was fed into Dimitar Berbatov at the near post, and the Bulgarian was allowed to turn and score. Young Danny Welbeck came off the bench and scored the goal of the game with a crashing 25-yard belter. Ronaldo added a fifth with his second converted free-kick of the match at the death.

Arsenal 0 – Aston Villa 2 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) (MOTD highlights here.) After seeing Ashley Young’s first half penalty saved by Almunia, Aston Villa nevertheless took the lead at the Emirates when Young’s delicious cross into Agbonlahor was headed into his own net by Gael Clichy. And Martin O’Neill’s side sealed the shock victory when Gabi Agbonlahor outpaced William Gallas and fired home a low shot for number two.

Bolton 0 – Liverpool 2 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) (MOTD highlights here.) Liverpool had a lot of possession early doors at the Reebok, just after the twenty minute mark Kuyt hit the bar and then minutes later Dirk Kuyt did put the Reds in front, heading home an Aurelio cross. In injury-time of the first-half, Gary Cahill thought he had equalised but the goal was ruled out for a foul on Reina by Nolan. Bolton showed a lot more fight in the second period and substitute Ricardo Gardner was unlucky to scuff his shot after rounding Reina (notice Agger colliding with the post.) Fernando Torres, on as a substitute, provided the killer second with just under twenty minutes remaining, El Nino played in a delightful cross with the outside of his right foot for Steven Gerrard who planted his header into the bottom corner. In the final minutes, Torres hit the post when well placed.

Fulham 2 – Tottenham 1 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) (MOTD highlights here.) Tottenham lost their first game since Harry Redknapp took over, error-prone goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes failing to deal with a soft Simon Davies shot that trickled into the net. Andy Johnson swooped to make it 2-0 midway through the second half. Frazier Campbell’s effort was a mere consolation for Spurs who now slip back into the relegation zone.

Newcastle 2 – Wigan 2 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) Wigan flew out of the blocks at St James’ Park with a spectacular goal from Ryan Taylor, who lobbed Shay Given from 30-yards out. Emmerson Boyce was harshly given his marching orders on 54 minutes but the Toon had to wait until the 81st minute for Michael Owen to score after Kirkland had fumbled Ameobi’s effort. Obafemi Martins fired the Magpies into the lead with 3 minutes to go, but Titus Bramble’s last minute header earned the Latics a point.

Blackburn 1 – Sunderland 2 (Premier League, November 15, 2008) (MOTD highlights here.) Christopher Samba headed Blackburn into the lead in injury time at the end of the first half. Kenwyne Jones drew Sunderland level five minutes into the second half with an overhead volley from two yards. And Djibril Cisse won all three points for Sunderland 20 minutes from time when he beat the offside trap to lift the ball over the advancing Robinson.

West Ham 0 – Portsmouth 0 (Premier League, November 15, 2008)

Leeds 1 – Huddersfield 2 (League One, November 15, 2008) The Whites were given the perfect start when Robert Snodgrass scored from close range in the third minute. 30 seconds after the break Joe Skarz poked in the equaliser and the winner arrived in the third minute of injury time. Danny Cadamarteri crossed for Michael Collins to volley home with three home defenders standing like statues in their own box.

York 1 – Torquay 2 (Conference, November 15, 2008)
