VIDEO: Young Liverpool XI side win 2-0 at Tranmere

Tranmere 0 – Liverpool XI 2 (Pre-season friendly, August 3, 2010) Liverpool fielded a young side with the Europa League second leg clash with Rabotnicki just two days later – Roy Hodgson’s Anfield debut as manager of the Merseyside giants. Tranmere gave a number of trialists the opportunity to impress against Liverpool.

Liverpool took the lead on 47 through a horrible own goal sliced home by David McNamara and David Amoo completed the win just after the hour, set up by Tom Ince, son of Paul. Another Liverpool youngster to impress was Portuguese winger Toni Brito Silva.
