VIDEO: Villa late show denies famous Palace upset; Score draw for Bolton-Spurs; Fulham hit four past Notts County

Crystal Palace 2 – Aston Villa 2 (FA Cup 5th round, February 14, 2010) Selhurst Park went bananas when Crystal Palace took the lead against Aston Villa midway through the first half, Darren Ambrose took a corner from the left and Austrian journeyman Johannes Ertl headed in his first goal for the cash-strapped Eagles to set up hopes of a giant-killing. Villa silenced the home crowd ten minutes from the break when Downing whipped a free-kick into the near post a James Collins rose to header the equaliser. 20 minutes from time Palace retook the lead in tremendous style, top goalscorer Darren Ambrose wellied a 20-yard free-kick that moved in the air and beat Friedel’s out-stretched hand. Just as it looked like Villa would become the shock of the round, the Midlanders netted an 87th minute equaliser as Stiliyan Petrov headed a set-play home at the near post.

Bolton 1 – Tottenham 1 (FA Cup 5th round, February 14, 2010) After a bright opening at a half full Reebok Stadium, Bolton broke the deadlock ten minutes before the break when Lee and Elmander combined down the right, the Swede whipped over a cross and Kevin Davies was well placed to sweep in the opener. On the hour Spurs equalised when Gareth Bale when on a slalom run from wide left towards the Bolton goal, he picked out Jermain Defoe in the box and the striker took one touch before crashing home a powerful leveller. Spurs should have won the match when they were awarded a penalty after Ricketts handballed in the box but Huddlestone saw his poor spot-kick saved by Jaaskelainen.

Fulham 4 – Notts County 0 (FA Cup 5th round, February 14, 2010) Fulham thrashed League Two club Notts County four-nil with goals from Simon Davies, Bobby Zamora, Damien Duff and substitute Stefano Okaka at Craven Cottage.
