A fabulous six minute spell for the Reds was rounded off when Torres and Gerrard were involved before Alberto Aquilani cracked home his first Liverpool goal in front of the Kop. Nadir Belhadj denied the Merseysiders a clean sheet when the Algerian latched onto Piquionne’s volley across the face of the goal.
