VIDEO: Rooney keeps on scoring as Manchester United blunt the Hammers; Leeds beat Oldham

Manchester United 3 – West Ham 0 (Premier League, February 23, 2010) (Longer highlights here.) Wayne Rooney was again the toast of Old Trafford as the hosts broke the deadlock after 37 minutes with West Ham, a sweeping attack saw Berbatov lift the ball out wide to Valencia on the right, the winger volleyed in a cross towards the six yard box and Rooney finished with a diving header. (First half highlights here.) Wayne Rooney continued his phenomenal form 10 minutes into the second half as the goalscoring-machine converted his second header of the night from another Valencia cross. Rooney was withdrawn with just over 10 minutes remaining for Michael Owen, and Little Mickey wasted little time getting involved as he clipped the ball past Green from Scholes’ neat through-ball.
