VIDEO: Gareth Bale pokes Tottenham to victory at Benfia; Pavlyuchenko downs Ipswich

Tottenham played two friendlies on Tuesday night, winning in Portugal and Roman Pavlyuchenko (eye witness footage) seeing a Spurs XI past Ipswich 1-0.

Benfica 0 – Tottenham 1 (Eusebio Cup, August 3, 2010) The Portuguese champions had the better of the first half with Huerelho Gomes in the Spurs goal keeping Benfica at bay. Carlo Cudicini was also called upon a number of times in the second half to keep the clean sheet for Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham side. The match winner came on 53 minutes, Jermain Defoe broke down the left, squared inside for Giovani Dos Santos to brilliantly flick inside for the onrushing Gareth Bale to poke home Spurs’ winner and secure the Eusebio Cup for Tottenham.
