VIDEO: Cahill hat-trick inspires Everton at Norwich; Newcastle peg back PSV & West Ham win at Ipswich 1-0

Norwich 2 – Everton 4 (Pre-season friendly, July 31, 2010) Tim Cahill was the star of the show with a hat-trick. His first came thanks to a horrible error from John Ruddy and the second came before the break after Ruddy had done considerably better. The Canaries hit back with goals from Andrew Crofts and Andrew Surman but almost immediately after the equaliser Diniyar Bilyaletdinov scored the goal of the game, an arrow into the top corner after a dummy, and Cahill completed the scoring in the 71st minute.

Newcastle 2 – PSV 2 (Pre-season friendly, July 31, 2010) Ola Toivonen scored a fine curling free-kick for PSV’s opener and Balazs Dzsudzsak scored a typical left-footed second. The Toon hit back in the second half, Ryan Taylor sweeping home before Leon Best headed in a free-kick.

Ipswich 0 – West Ham 1 (Pre-season friendly, July 31, 2010) Rob Green kept a clean sheet, Scott Parker lined up in the centre of midfield and Carlton Cole scored the winner from close range.
