Nicklas Bendtner, Robin van Persie and Aaron Ramsey scored two apiece, William Gallas notching number seven, as Arsenal kicked off their mini-European tour with a comfortable victory over SC Columbia. Wengerâ€™s side did suffer a minor embarrassment when a freakish goal from Patrick Lehner, robbing Almunia of possession, gave the amateurs a shock first half lead.
Peterborough 0 – Tottenham 4 (Friendly, July 21, 2009) Spurs’ strikers continue to bang in the goals during pre-season as Harry Redknapp continues to be linked with Peter Crouch. Goals from Tottenham were scored by Darren Bent,Jermain Defoe, Luka Modric and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
