Huddersfield pay the penalty as Arsenal advance in the FA Cup

Arsenal 2 – Huddersfield 1 (FA Cup 4th round, January 30, 2011) (Official highlights.) As expected, Arsenal dominated early doors. Andrey Arshavin blazed over and Nicklas Bendtner put a decent chance the wrong side of the post. On 21 minutes the breakthrough came, Nicklas Bendtner seeing his deflected effort nestle in the bottom corner. The match turned just before the break when Arsenal lost Sebastien Squillaci to a red card after he cynically curtailed a fine run by Jack Hunt. Huddersfield dominated the second half, Lee forced an excellent save from Manuel Almunia, and duly got their equaliser on 66 when Alan Lee headed home a Pilkington corner. Six minutes from time Arsenal won a penalty when Bendtner was tripped in the box and Cesc Fabregas dispatched the spot-kick to ensure the Gunners progresssion.
