Fulham get a relegation boost beating Blackburn 3-2

Fulham 3 – Blackburn 2 (Premier League, March 5, 2011) (MOTD highlights) The Cottagers struck midway through the first half when Damien Duff collected the ball on the right, cut inside on his left foot and drilled a shot into the near post, but Rovers equalised on the stroke of halftime when Fulham failed to clear a corner and Grant Hanley saw his shot deflect off Brede Hangeland on its way in. Fulham retook the lead just before the hour when Damien Duff picked the ball up on the corner of the 18-yard box and crashed a shot in at the near post. But Fulham defended terribly to allow Blackburn to level, the hosts made hard work of clearing a Rovers attack and Junior Hoilett lashed volleyed a shot into bottom corner from eight yards. An minute from time Fulham won a penalty for a controversial foul by Chris Samba and Bobby Zamora made no mistake from the spot.
