Dyer day for Arsenal as Swansea win 3-2

Swansea 3 – Arsenal 2 (Premier League, January 15, 2012) (Alternative highlights & MOTD highlights.) The Gunners go off to a rip-roaring start in Wales as Arshavin threaded a great pass through for Robin van Persie who composes himself before lashing past Vorm in the fifth minute. Swansea weren’t behind for long as Dyer won a penalty in the 16th minute under a poor challenge from Ramsey that Scott Sinclair dispatched with aplomb. Robin van Persie almost scored a carbon copy second in the 28th minute but this time Vorm denied the Arsenal forward with a smart stop. (First half highlights) The Welshman moved in front in the 57th minute as Ramsey was pick-pocketed by Allen who then exploited Miquel being out-of-position by feeding Nathan Dyer who finished well past Szczesny. Arsenal levelled in the 69th minute as a great pass from Djourou freed Theo Walcott who chipped a delightful finish over the advancing Vorm. But the Gunners had no time to enjoy that goal as straight from the restart Swansea were back in front, with Danny Graham beating the offside trap to pick up Sigurdsson’s through-ball and fire beyond Szczesny.
