Chelsea ease to FA Cup win
Premier League leaders Chelsea eased to a 4-0 FA Cup win over Brentford on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
There was pretty much no drama for Antonio Conte’s side to deal with at all against a Brentford side that are struggling in the Championship.
Willian opened the scoring with a brilliant free-kick after 14 minutes.
Pedro made it 2-0 with a lung bursting run down the right on 21 minutes.
Substitute Branislav Ivanovic claimed an emotional third goal – which will likely be the last of his time at Chelsea with the Serbian set to move on in the coming days.
The fourth was scored by Michy Batshuayi from the penalty spot in a game that saw game time for fringe players such as John Terry, Nathan Ake and Kurt Zouma.
Next up for Chelsea, the small matter of a huge game at Liverpool on Tuesday evening.
