Spurs hit six v Inter Milan
Tottenham fans have fond recent memories of facing Inter Milan and this continued on Friday, albeit in a friendly.
Spurs had not won a game in any competition since the beginning of April, but on Friday afternoon in Oslo, Pochettino’s side crushed Inter.
The Nerazzurri are far from their best and are in some sort of disarray with Roberto Mancini likely to depart sooner rather than later.
Lamela & Kane star for Spurs
For many of the Tottenham starting XI, this was their first games of pre-season and will have seriously boosted spirits ahead of the Premier League opener at Everton next Saturday.
Harry Kane got proceedings started with a fifth minute penalty. Ivan Perisic equalised but Erik Lamela got Spurs back in front with a long range strike on 40 minutes.
The second half saw Spurs score four unanswered goals. Alli got the third and set up the fifth for Vincent Janssen.
Harry Kane and Shayon Harrison (from a Lamela assist) got the final two goals of the rout.
