Gareth Southgate’s England U21 side all but secured a place in the final of the Toulon Tournament with a convincing 4-0 win over Paraguay U23s on Wednesday night.
Stamford Bridge is a notoriously difficult place for youngsters to break through but Chelsea midfielders Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lewis Baker were in superb form last night.
The 20-year-old Loftus-Cheek bagged two excellently taken goals plus one assist whilst 21-year-old Lewis Baker scored a superb goal and assisted Nathan Redmond for the fourth.
Having joined Chelsea as 10-year-old, Lewis Baker spent the season on loan at Vitesse but will be hoping he can catch the eye of new man in charge Antonio Conte.
