Leaders Flu win late; Miralles makes his mark for Santos v Vasco; Fabiano lifts Sao Paulo: Atletico-MG win

Sao Paulo 2 – Figueirense 0 (Campeonato Brasileiro, October 14, 2012) Luis Fabiano got the hosts up and running with a header, and Douglas netted  a26th minute second which killed off Figueirense.

Nautico 1 – Palmeiras 0 (Campeonato Brasileiro, October 14, 2012) Kieza’s 14th minute goal proved decisive.

Gremio 1 – Botafogo 1 (Campeonato Brasileiro, October 14, 2012) Substitute Bruno Mendes scored in the last minute to rescue a 1-1 draw for Botafogo at Gremio, who had opened the scoring through Leo Gago seven minutes into the second half.

Atletico Mineiro 2 – Sport Recife 1 (Campeonato Brasileiro, October 14, 2012) Hugo put Sport ahead after 17 minutes and it was he who saw red six minutes from the end. The dismissal was six minutes after Atletico levelled through Leonardo Silva, who then grabbed the winner in the closing moments.

Fluminense 2 – Ponte Preta 1 (Campeonato Brasileiro, October 14, 2012) The hosts found themselves a goal down as early as the second minute when Preta midfielder Luan hit the back of the net. Preta were well organised following the opener and seemed relatively comfortable up until Wendel’s dismissal, which reduced the visitors to 10-men with less than 20 minutes remaining. And Fluminense took full advantage of their numerical advantage with Fred converting an 80th-minute penalty before defender Gum netted the winner inside the final minute.
