Recommended bets
Fresh off opening day defeats, both Udinese and Salernitana will be eyeing a turnaround result when they face off this weekend.
An eventual stalemate, though, seems very much within the realms of possibility.
Udinese, for obvious reasons, boast the edge when it comes to the odds, but, as evidenced on countless occasions last term, Salernitana should be counted out at one’s peril.
Piggying on the back of our previous point, 101′s second recommended bet for Saturday’s clash at the Stadio Friuli surrounds what would prove an odds-defying result.
At 18/1, though, you could do worse than lump on the day’s visitors emerging on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline, after the Campania-based minnows emerged triumphant at Udinese late last season, too.
Match preview
Udinese and Salernitana are set to go head to head in this Serie A encounter on Saturday evening.
As alluded to above, both sides will enter proceedings with sights set on their first points haul of the campaign, after slipping to respective defeats on the opening weekend in Italy’s top flight.
After showcasing glimmers of attacking potential en route to an eventual 4-2 loss at champions AC Milan, hosts Udinese will be hoping for the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Isaac Success to carry the goalscoring load against Salernitana.
Sidelined pair Tolgay Arslan and Leonardo Buta remain unavailable for selection to Andrea Sottil, though.
Shifting attentions to Saturday’s visitors, despite a commendable display, Salernitana were unable to avoid a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma last time out, Bryan Cristante’s first-half strike proving the difference.
Summer arrivals Antonio Candreva, Tonny Vilhena and Federico Bonazzoli will be expected to feature from the off once more, but the impressive Matteo Lovato remains out of action.
