Match preview

These two teams have plenty of history against one-another, so who will win as they meet again in Skopje?

Two years ago, they met three times in just 65 days, first playing out a pair of 1-1 draws in the Nations League.

However, their most memorable encounter was the third with North Macedonia winning the Euro 2020 Play-off Final 1-0 in Tbilisi.

This saw the Red Lynxes make their major tournament debut last summer, with Georgia still searching for their maiden appearance.

In the context of Group C4, this match sees the top two go head-to-head, with Georgia looking to maintain their 100% start to the campaign.

On matchday one, the Crusaders easily beat Gibraltar 4-0 at home before, on Sunday, securing a famous 5-2 victory over Bulgaria in Razgrad.

Zurik'o Davitashvili, Budu Zivzivadze, Khvicha K'varatskhelia and Valeri Qazaishvili all on target in Georgia's second-biggest ever away win.

Overall, Georgia have now won eight of 14 Nations League matches, so will Willy Sagnol's side pull clear at the top of this group?

North Macedonia meanwhile are looking to leapfrog their visitors to the top of this group.

Blagoja Milevski's side were unlucky to draw 1-1 in Bulgaria in their group opener, dominating after Milan Ristovski equalised.

Then, at the weekend, Enis Bardhi and Boban Nikolov were on target in a routine 2-0 victory by the Rock of Gibraltar.

With home advantage at Toše Proeski National Arena, North Macedonia are favourites to win this key clash.
