Greece vs Kosovo betting tips: UEFA Nations League preview, predictions and odds

Greece are unbeaten in five meetings with Kosovo, all of which have taken place since September 2020. However, both clashes on Greek soil have ended all square, 1-1 in November and 0-0 13 months earlier. Greece are aiming to win four successive competitive internationals for the first time since October 2016.

Over 2.5 goals is 6/5.

Greece to win and over 2.5 goals is 21/10.

Greece to win and both teams to score is 7/2.

Anastasios Bakasetas has scored in all three Nations League games so far. He is 11/2 to break the deadlock and 2/1 to score yet again.

Match preview

Greece have spent the last few years down in the doldrums, but are they on their way back to the top?

So far, this month couldn't have gone any better for Gus Poyet's team, winning all three matches without so much as conceding a goal.

First, they enjoyed back-to-back away wins in Belfast and Prishtina, with Anastasios Bakasetas scoring the only goal of the night both times.

Then, on Thursday night, they ran riot against local-rivals Cyprus at Panthessaliko Stadium, winning 3-0.

Bakasetas, yet again, broke the deadlock, before Vangelis Pavlidis tapped in a second and Dimitrios Limnios wrapped up the win in Volos.

Another victory here and Greece would require just one win from their two September internationals to rubber stamp top spot.

Between 2004 and 2014, the Sky Blues and Whites appeared at six major tournament, lifting the Henri Delaunay Trophy 18 years ago.

However, they've now failed to qualify for four consecutive major tournaments, something this team are determined to put right in 2024.

Kosovo meantime are currently their nearest challengers for first place.

Aside from the reverse meeting, Alain Giresse's side have won their other two games, first beating Cyprus in Larnaca.

Then, on Thursday, Vedat Muriqi's brace and Zymer Bytyqi's first international goal saw the Dardanians overcome Northern Ireland 3-2 at home.

Overall, Kosovo have won seven of 14 Nations League games, but are going to need to add another victory if they're to keep pace with Greece.

Nevertheless, Panthessaliko Stadium is likely to witness another home win.

Greece team news

Anastasios Bakasetas will be looking to continue his streak of having scored in each of Greece's last six competitive wins.

They last won a competitive international without the Trabzonspor midfielder scoring on 11 November 2020.

In attack, Vangelis Pavlidis' goals on Thursday could see him keep his place over Celtic's Giorgos Giakoumakis.

Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas and Sheffield United's George Baldock will continue at full-back, the latter made his international debut in Belfast.

Odysseas Vlachodimos of Benfica will win his 27th cap in goal; he's kept 12 clean sheets, conceding just 19 goals, so far for his country.

Kosovo team news

Kosovo travel without defenders Lirim Kastrati, Betim Fazlija and Ibrahim Drešević, all of whom picked up their second bookings on Thursday.

In better news, Zürich centre-back Fidan Aliti is available again having served his own one-match ban against Northern Ireland.

Likewise, goalkeeper Arijanet Murić, who was also sent off when Greece visited Pristina, will return in place of Samir Ujkani.

Vedat Muriqi will continue up front having scored an impressive 20 goals from just 41 caps.

However, star midfielder Valon Berisha, who hobbled off injured in mid-week, is a doubt.
