Betting prediction: Wolves 1-2 Crystal Palace

Friday’s FA Cup third-round tie between Wolves and Crystal Palace couldn’t be more finely poised with both teams currently sat on 22 points in the Premier League.

Both clubs have been on an underwhelming run in the league having won just once in their last five matches.

Palace ended a run of five games without a win on Saturday as they defeated Sheffield United, whilst Wolves were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw with Brighton.

Wolves vs Crystal Palace: Recommended bets

Jordan Ayew to score first. The Ghanaian striker has lost his place in Palace’s regular line-up over recent weeks but he can be expected to be given his chance to feature on Friday.

Ayew will be looking to work his work back into Hodgson’s regular starting line-up and will be hoping to get his name on the score sheet at Molineux.

Wolves vs Crystal Palace: Match preview

Wolves have suffered a real slump in form over Christmas winning just once in their last seven matches.

Goals have been a slight issue for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side since Raul Jimenez’s horrible injury.

Before scoring three at Brighton, Wolves had only managed four in six games since losing their top scorer.

18-year-old Fabio Silva has been the player tasked with filling the void, but understandably he has struggled and this will be an area the club may need to address in January.

Palace end five-game winless run

Palace were able to end a run of five games without a win on Saturday as they comfortably cruised past strugglers Sheffield United.

Eberechi Eze scored one of the goals of the season to inspire the Eagles on their way to victory.

Whilst Wilfried Zaha has been the standout player for Palace over recent years, Palace look to have found another star in Eze.

However, their recent form means they sit 14th in the Premier League, sat behind Friday’s opponents courtesy of goal difference.
