Sergio Ramos serves a one-match suspension after his accumulation of yellow cards in the tournament.
With Jesus Vallejo and Nacho Fernandez also sidelined, 19-year-old Achraf Hakimi may be forced to slot in alongside Varane. The Moroccan international is mainly a right-back but can play in the middle of defence.
