Betting prediction: Poland 2-0 Iceland

Poland take on Iceland in their final preparation match before Euro 2020.

Last Tuesday, a heavily rotated Polish side was held to a 1-1 draw with Russia.

Iceland will not be competing at this summer’s Euros having finished 3rd in qualifying.

Arnar Viðarsson’s side were beaten 2-1 by Mexico towards the end of last month.

They were also in action last Friday in which they defeated the Faroe Islands 1-0.

Poland vs Iceland: Recommended bets

Robert Lewandowski to score first. The Bayern Munich striker is set to be brought back into the line-up on Tuesday.

Lewandowski will be hoping for a successful Euros having just come off the back of the most prolific league campaign of his career.

He has netted three goals in his last three appearances for Poland and has been lethal against the majority of lesser opponents when in action for his country.

In their group, they are joined by Spain, Sweden and Slovakia.

Paulo Sousa will at least by hoping his side can secure the second-place spot.

Poland kicked off their World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign in mixed form.

The Poles managed to defeat Andorra, they were beaten by England and held to a 3-3 draw with Hungary.

No Euros for Iceland

Iceland missed out on qualification for Euro 2020 as they finished 3rd in qualifying.

They finished behind both France and Turkey in Group H.

At Euro 2016, Iceland shocked many by making it all the way to the quarter-finals.

Earlier this year, they got their World Cup qualifying campaign off to a poor start with two defeats.

Arnar Viðarsson’s side currently sit second to bottom in Group J.

Poland team news vs Iceland

Paulo Sousa is likely to bring a number of his key players back into the line-up against Iceland ahead of their first Euro match next Monday.

Robert Lewandowski started on the bench against Russia and he could start this evening.

Wojciech Szczęsny, Jan Bednarek, Jakub Moder, Piotr Zieliński and Kamil Glik could also return to the starting line-up.

Arnar Viðarsson is unlikely to make many changes from the side that defeated the Faroe Islands last week.
