Man United vs Sevilla: Champions League Round of 16 2nd Leg preview

Aggregate score: Man United 0-0 Sevilla

Manchester United host Sevilla on Tuesday night for the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Manchester United were unable to find a crucial away goal in the first leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Knowing that a win at the Theatre of Dreams is required, United are still heavy favourites heading into Tuesday’s clash.

The first leg in Spain was a close affair, but United have won all three of their subsequent fixtures in the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford, who did not start in the first leg, scored an outstanding brace in United’s 2-1 win over rivals Liverpool on Saturday.

The win extends United’s unbeaten run in all competitions to five matches and moves them five points clear in 2nd place.

Sevilla, meanwhile, remain fifth in La Liga following their 2-0 defeat at home to Valencia on Saturday.

Sevilla have won two and lost two of their four fixtures since the first leg.

Sevilla team news vs Man United

Sebastien Corchia is back in training following a groin injury but has not travelled to England.

Juan Soriano was expected to be sidelined with a shoulder injury but has made the Sevilla squad list.

Sevilla were hoping to have Jesus Navas available following a calf injury but the former Manchester City man has not travelled.

This leaves Vincenzo Montella with a right back problem since Miguel Layun, who has played there in recent games, is not registered in the Champions League.

Lionel Carole also has a calf problem and is set to miss out.

Sergio Escudero, Ever Banega and Gabriel Mercado are all a booking away from a ban.
