Italy entered Euro 2020 with huge expectancy given their 27-game unbeaten streak and they have delivered by emphatically winning both of their opening matches.

Roberto Mancini’s side have two wins from two, scoring six and keeping two clean sheets to already book their place in the knockout stages.

Italy have not lost in 23 competitive games, while the Azzurri have scored in each of their last 11 games.

Wales are also on the cusp of qualifying for the round of 16 following their draw with the Swiss and their incredible win over Turkey.

Rob Page’s side produced an incredible win over Turkey last Wednesday to leave them needing just a point to qualify.

Under Maninci they have now kept 22 clean sheets in 34 matches and are currently on a run of nine matches without conceding a goal.

In both their opening matches they have kept clean sheets and they will be confident of doing the same again on Sunday.

Italy vs Wales betting tips: Match preview

Italy have been one of the most fierce sides at Euro 2020.

Mancini’s side entered the tournament in remarkable form which they have managed to maintain in their opening two games.

They have now gone 29 games unbeaten having beaten both Switzerland and Turkey in Group A.

Their two 3-0 wins means they were the first team to qualify for the Round of 16.

The Italians look to be a complete side given their impenetrable defence and their formidable attack.

One point needed for Wales

Wales require just one point to book their place in the Round of 16.

The Dragons produced a heroic display last Wednesday to defeat Turkey 2-0.

Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts were the goal scorers, but it was Gareth Bale who created both goals.

Page’s side are now on four points, putting them three ahead of the Swiss and four ahead of Turkey.

Italy team news vs Wales

Italy have secured their spot in the round of 16 so Mancini is likely to make some changes to his side.

However, Italy will want to continue their momentum and top the group, so complete rotation is unlikely.

Giorgio Chiellini is a doubt for the clash after suffering a flexor injury against Switzerland.

The defender is unlikely to be risked against Wales and he could be replaced by Francesco Acerbi.

Alessandro Florenzi is also set to remain sidelined with an injury.

Wales team news vs Italy

Rob Page has a fully fit squad to select from on Sunday.

He is expected to freshen his side up against Italy, with just a point needed to reach the round of 16.

Gareth Bale could be handed a rest, especially given how cautiously Spurs managed him last season.

Page could also switch to a 3-4-3 as they look to prevent a free-scoring Italy side.
