Hibernian vs Molde prediction: Hibernian 2-1 Molde
A place in the group stages is getting ever closer.
After toping their Europa League group back in 2014, Molde will be desperate to be back to the big time.
Hibernian have never competed in a European group stage and haven’t got past the qualifying stages for 29 years.
Who will get the advantage ahead of the second leg in Norway?
Hibernian vs Molde: Who will win?
Hibernian have won both of their home games in Europe this season and are 13/10 to make that 3.
Molde did win on their last trip to Scotland, a 3-1 success at Celtic Park 3 years ago. They’re 9/5 to win at Easter Road.
A draw is 11/5.
Hibs are 6/5 to qualify overall with Molde 8/13.
Hibernian’s 4 European games so far have produced 24 goals and this one could be a goal fest too. Over 2.5 goals is evens.

Hibernian vs Molde: Match Preview
Niel Lennon’s side have won back to back European ties for the first time since 1972.
A ridiculous 12-5 win over Faroese side NSÍ Runavík epitomised Lennon’s team. Good going forward but leaky at the back.
That was evident again as they fell 2-0 behind early on at home to Asteras Tripolis in the second round. However, after an incredible comeback, they took a 3-2 lead to Greece for the second leg.
A nervy 1-1 draw at the Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium was enough to see them squeeze through.
They did manage to keep their first clean sheet of the season at the weekend. Hibernian beat Motherwell 3-0 at home in their first game of the SPFL season.
Easter Road has already witnessed a staggering 15 goals in just 3 games this season. Is another goal fest in Edinburgh in store?
Molde are managed by Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
He won 12 major honours under Sir Alex Ferguson and is now making a name for himself in management in his second spell at the helm of Molde.
Molde are actually currently in the middle of their league season. They sit fourth in the Eliteserien, 6 points behind league leaders Rosenborg after a disappointing 2-2 draw with relegation threatened Lillestrøm on Sunday.
Like their Scottish opponents, they’ve already negotiated two rounds of Europa League qualifying. They beat Glenavon from Northern Ireland 6-3 on aggregate before dismissing Albanian side Laçi 5-0 over two legs.
This’ll be the toughest game both sides have faced in their respective European campaigns so far but who will make it to the play off round?
Hibernian team news vs Molde
Neil Lennon has a fully fit squad to pick from.
He switched to a back 3 for last week’s tie in Greece to try and address their defensive frailties.
Efe Ambrose looked exposed in a back 4 but was much better in a back 3 in Greece.
They’ve rejected bids for John McGinn from Celtic and Aston Villa are keen if they lose Jack Grealish to Spurs.
But he’s still at Easter Road, for now, and they’ll hope he can shine again after he scored the decisive goal in Greece to get them through.
New signing Florian Kamberi has already scored 4 goals in Europe this season and will be key if their going to progress again.
Molde team news vs Hibernian
Ole Gunnar Solskjær has a fully fit squad at his disposal.
Former Southampton and Brighton defender, Vegard Forren, is their leader at the back and is integral to any success they have.
Their danger men are Eirik Hestad and Erling Braut Håland. Both have scored 9 goals so far this season and Hestad has 5 in 3 Europa League appearances.
Both will fancy their chances of an away goal or 2 at Easter Road which would set them up nicely ahead of the second leg at the Røkkeløkka.
