Chelsea vs Crystal Palace: Premier League preview

Stamford Bridge will stage Saturday’s London Derby between Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

The Blues are on a poor run of form, with two defeats and a draw in their last three.

Last time out, Chelsea lost 1-0 at league leaders Manchester City. The Blues were criticised after the game for their lack of fight and determination to try and get back into the match.

Chelsea, winners of last season’s title, begin the weekend five points outside the top four in fifth position.

Crystal Palace are without a win in six and have lost their last three on the bounce.

Roy Hodgson’s side will take some positives from their spirited performance last time out against Manchester United. Goals from Andros Townsend and Patrick van Aanholt gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead before United came back to turn the match on its head.

Palace won the reverse fixture 2-1 in October. Timoue Bakayoko’s scored to cancel out Cesar Azpilicueta’s own goal before Wilf Zaha netted the winner.
