Will Cameroon stay on course to win the Africa Cup of Nations: their Africa Cup of Nations.
The Indomitable Lions cruised through Group A, first beating Burkina Faso 2-1 and then Ethiopia 4-1, actually falling behind in both matches.
Then, on matchday three a week ago, they only drew 1-1 with Cape Verde, Vincent Aboubakar on target again, by that was enough to clinh top spot.
Now the serious stuff starts for Toni Conceição’s side who are just four wins away from immortality.
Cameroon are five-times champions of Africa, three of which have come this century, most recently lifting the trophy in 2017 against Egypt.
But, two years later, they meekly attempted to retain their trophy, crashing out in the round of 16 against Nigeria.
This year though, roared on by big home crowds, Cameroon fans believe that it will be they lifting the trophy on 6 February.
Will the host’s dream still be alive after this round of 16 clash?
Comoros meanwhile have been the story of the competition so far, looking to cause an upset that would be off the scale.
The Coelacanths are making their AFCON debut this year, qualifying at the expense of Kenya and Togo.
But, to say expectations were low is an understatment, given that they were hammered 5-1 by Palestine in a FIFA Arab Cup qualifier last June.
Then, Comoros looked set to slump out in the group stages of this tournament, first losing 1-0 to Gabon and then 2-0 to Morocco.
So, on Tuesday, they had to beat heavyweights Ghana to qualify and, against all odds, raced into a two goal lead through Ben and then Ahmed Mogni.
However, the Black Stars pulled it back to 2-2, meaning both sides would crash out but, with just five to play, Mogni snatched a dramatic winner.
In the end, Comoros snuck through as the fourth best-ranked third-place finisher, thereby giving them the opportunity to play in this huge match.
Will the Comoros fairytale continue or will Cameroon march on and face Guinea or Gambia in the quarter-finals?

For fans of European football, there are many familiar faces in this Cameroonian side who will be central to any success they enjoy.
Ajax goalkeeper André Onana looked rusty during the group stages after only recently returning following a nine-month drugs ban.
Toni Conceição rested and rotated against Cape Verde but all of his key players, now refreshed, will come back in.
This includes centre-back Jérôme Onguéné who hasn’t played since the tournament’s opening match, but should start this one.
André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who’s on loan from Fulham to Napoli, will be their midfield general.
Out-wide, Karl Toko Ekambi has already shown his quality at this competition, bagging a brace against Ethiopia on matchday two.
Vincent Aboubakar is their talisman though, having taken his tally to 30 international goals after scoring five times in the group stages.
He scored the 88th minute winner in the 2017 final but would be an even bigger national hero if he fired his country to glory on home soil.
Against minnows Comoros, Conceição could deploy a strike partnership with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting alongside.

In contrast to the familiar faces of Cameroon, Amir Abdou’s squad mainly ply their trade in the French lower-leagues.
One player who doesn’t is talismanic front man El Fardou Ben Nabouhane, known as Ben.
The centre-forward has won four Serbian SuperLiga titles with Crvena zvezda, scoring 73 goals for Red Star, notably doing so against AC Milan.
At international level, Ben’s goal against Ghana in the group stages means he’s now netted an impressive 16 times from just 31 caps.
It was widely reported on Sunday that Comoros do not have a goalkeeper available for this one, meaning an outfielder will be donning the gloves.
This, obviously, is far from ideal.
