Benfica take a 2-0 advantage into the second leg following their win in Russia last week.

Jorge Jesus’ side dominated proceedings in the first leg with goals from Rafa Silva and Gilberto giving them the lead in the tie.

Spartak Moscow have had a difficult start to the season having lost two of their opening three league matches.

They followed up their defeat to Benfica on Wednesday with a 2-1 loss against Nizhny Novograd.

Roman Yaremchuk to score first. The Ukrainian is in the line to make his first start for the club since his move from Genk.

Both Haris Seferovic and Darwin Nunez have been ruled out, meaning Yaremchuk is set to be given the nod to start.

Jorge Jesus’ side were worthy winner, in the end, dominating in most areas of the match.

The first-leg was Benfica’s first competitive match of the season following a strong pre-season.

The Portuguese side also kicked off their league campaign with a win on the weekend.

They managed to defeat Moreirense and despite playing with ten men for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, Spartak Moscow’s season has got off to a slow start.

Rui Vitória’s side have now lost three of their four matches, which includes two league defeats.

Having finished second in the Russia Premier League last season, Spartak are currently down in 11th.

Over the weekend, they were beaten by newly-promoted side Nizhny Novgorod.

Strike partner Darwin Nunez also remains sidelined with a knee injury.
