Will Man United be more expansive than how they performed away at Liverpool?

Chelsea, meanwhile, have been beaten with far too much regularity to keep Antonio Conte happy this term.

Burnley and Man City have already won in west London in the Premier League, while the Blues have also lost to Crystal Palace and Roma in recent weeks.

Chelsea v Man United: Premier League preview

Jose Mourinho hasn’t done it. Louis van Gaal never did it. And neither did David Moyes.

Man United have an awful record winning away at Chelsea in the league.

Indeed, the last time United won at Chelsea was back in 2012 under Sir Alex Ferguson, when the Blues had Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres both sent off in the game.

More recently, Man United have tripped up in recent EPL away days. Mourinho was slammed for employing negative tactics in a 0-0 at Anfield, while Huddersfield beat United 2-1.

Yet, sitting second in the table at the start of round 11, United are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with this term. Yes, Romelu Lukaku failed to score in October, but at the back the Red Devils have eight clean sheets in ten.

Will Chelsea be able to break down the United backline?

The Blues were shutout in Rome in midweek as they were battered 3-0 in the Champions League. The Roma match was one of Chelsea’s worst recent performances, and it’s lead to renewed speculation about Antonio Conte’s long-term future.

After the Roma match, Thibaut Courtios labelled the United game a “must-win” if Chelsea plan to retain their Premier League crown.

Last season, Chelsea mopped the floor with United in a 4-0 win. But can the Blues do that again?

Chelsea team news v Man United: Kante’s comeback

N’Golo Kante is in line to make his Chelsea return this weekend. It would be no surprise to see Cesc Fabregas drop out the XI.

However Conte is still trying to work out how to replace the injured Victor Moses at right wing-back.

Cesar Azpilicueta struggled in that position v Roma, but does Conte trust Davide Zappacosta?

And who will play at the back? Antonio Rudiger was awful in midweek, David Luiz has also attracted criticism, while Gary Cahill was subbed off after 56 minutes in the UCL. Should Andreas Christensen start?

Man United team news v Chelsea: Injury pile-up

Man United beat Benfica 1-0 in midweek, but Jesse Lingard exited the game with a back injury.

Whether Lingard is fit for Sunday remains a question mark. While Mourinho is already without Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo.

Will the Special One use Ander Herrera to man-mark Eden Hazard?

Up front, United fans will be hoping to see Lukaku, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial all work in tandem. So far this season, Mourinho has largely shied away from playing the three forwards together.
