Belarus vs Kazakhstan betting tips: UEFA Nations League preview, predictions and odds

Belarus are unbeaten in five meetings with Kazakhstan, winning four, scoring 14 goals and conceding just three. This includes two meetings in the Nations League two years ago with Belarus winning 2-1 in Almaty and 2-0 in Minsk. However, the White Wings are winless in nine competitive games, their longest streak this century. Kazakhstan meanwhile are aiming to win three consecutive competitive games for the first time since 1997, when they were an Asia member, defeating Pakistan and Iraq back then.

Under 2.5 goals is 1/2.

Under 2.5 goals and both teams to score NO is 5/6.

Kazakhstan to win and both teams to score NO is 15/4.

Match preview

Will Kazakhstan's amazing, and surprising, winning form continue?

Earlier this year, the Hawks only just about survived in the third-tier of the UEFA Nations League, doing so by the finest of margins.

After the tie had finished 2-2 on aggregate, they edged out Moldova on penalties in that relegation play-out; goalkeeper Igor Shatsky the hero.

Thus, very reasonably, it was expected that Kazakhstan would be battling against relegation once again.

However, on matchday one, they beat Azerbaijan 2-0 at Astana Arena, courtesy of a pair of sublime goals from Abat Aiymbetov just ten minutes apart.

Three days later, Magomed Adiyev's team caused a humongous upset, beating overwhelming group favourites Slovakia 1-0 in Trnava.

Aslan Darabaev's cool finish mid-way through the first half the difference at Štadión Antona Malatinského.

So now, against all expectations, Kazakhstan are sitting pretty at the top of Group C3, dreaming of promotion to the second-tier.

Here, will the Hawks win three consecutive competitive games for the first time since joining UEFA two decades ago?

As for Belarus, this'll be their third and final game of the campaign played in Novi Sad as they're currently banned from playing on home soil.

On the field, things aren't going to plan for Georgi Kondratiev's team either, losing 1-0 to Slovakia before a goalless draw against Azerbaijan.

Before this season, Belarus' UEFA Nations League record was pretty good, winning seven of 12 matches.

However, the White Wings are now winless in nine competitive games, losing eight of those, last tasing victory against Estonia 15 months ago.

Thus, Kazakhstan will be confident of leaving Stadion Karađorđe with three more points on the board.

Belarus team news

Belarus are without Rubin Kazan striker Vitaly Lisakovich who has been their main man for goals of late.

Without him, the top-scorer in the squad is holding midfielder Yevgeny Yablonsky who has just three, one of which came against Kazakhstan.

Defender Zakhar Volkov went off injured against Azerbaijan, meaning Kiryl Pyachenin could come in.

Kazakhstan team news

Kazakhstan's strong start is made even more impressive by the fact they're without their talisman Baqtiiar Zainutdinov.

Abat Aiymbetov scored a brace against Azerbaijan, but still managed to miss a sitter in the win over Slovakia.

Captain Islambek Kuat will bring up 50 international caps here, just the eighth Kazakh player to achieve this, 26 short of Samat Smakov's record.
