Real Madrid legend, and now Porto goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, posted a FIFA 16 screenshot on his Instagram page on Tuesday night, denying he is to retire any time soon, perhaps not even after the 2018 World Cup.

Casillas has made a couple of mistakes at Porto but remains the likely first choice goalkeeper for Spain at Euro 2016 this summer.

Many Manchester United fans find it incredible that David De Gea has not usurped Casillas yet and this could be the subject of some serious debate as we head towards June.

The current Porto custodian posted a retirement message from FIFA 16 on his Instagram page, that he was sent by a follower.

Casillas’ emojis and hashtags confirm that he has no intention of retiring any time soon.

At 34, you imagine Casillas has plenty of years left to give playing in goal, albeit perhaps not at the levels he used to play at. In recent days, Casillas has been linked with a move to New York City FC to join up with Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard.

Casillas’ hashtags translate as: #muypronto #todavíano – Coming Soon and Not Yet.
