Just 168 days later, Roma return to the scene of José Mourinho's biggest defeat as a manager.

These two teams were both in Group C back in the Autumn with Bodø/Glimt enjoying a famous 6-1 victory at home before a 2-2 draw in Rome.

Despite this, I Giallorossi took top spot, winning their other four games, with the Norwegian side ending up two points behind.

Now, the two reconvene as this season's fairytale story take on, without doubt, one of the biggest clubs to enter the Europa Conference League.

From the start, Roma have taken this competition very seriously, given that it's now 14 years since la Lupa last won major silverware.

Although, Roma had to battle to beat Dutch club Vitesse in the previous round, needing Tammy Abraham's stoppage time header to sneak through.

In the past, Roma have only won five of 13 European quarter-final but this does include the last two, ousting Barcelona in 2018 and Ajax 12 months ago.

Also, I Giallorossi might just be coming into form at the right time.

They've won four of their last five Serie A matches, including a thumping 3-0 Derby della Capitale victory and Sunday's 1-0 win at Sampdoria.

In contrast to their historically successful opponents, Bodø/Glimt have enjoyed a rapid rise in the last couple of years.

In 2021, the Yellow Horde secured back-to-back Eliteserien titles, having only returned to the top-flight in 2017.

But, it's in Europe where Kjetil Knutsen's side have caught the eye, first beating Valur Reykjavík, Prishtina and Žalgiris Vilnius in qualifiers.

Bodø/Glimt then made their debut in a UEFA group stage but went unbeaten, notably enjoying that aforementioned 6-1 drubbing of Roma.

In the first knockout round, they hammered Celtic 5-1 on aggregate before a rather closer victory over AZ.

After both legs had been won 2-1 by the hosts, extra time was played in Alkmaar, mid-way through which Alfons Sampsted snatched the decisive goal.

As a result, they're the first Norwegian club since Vålerenga in 1999 to appear in a European quarter-final, looking to extend their adventure.

Given that Bodø/Glimt have won all eight Europa Conference League home games so far, they'll be hoping Aspmyra Stadion is a fortress once more.

Bodø/Glimt kicked off the new Eliteserien season on Sunday with a 2-2 draw against 26-times Champions Rosenborg.

This should help improve the match-sharpness of Kjetil Knutsen's side who'd only be playing sporadically before this.

A lot of their good play comes down the left-hand-side where Brice Wembangomo and Amahl Pellegrino link-up well.

Ola Solbakken has scored seven times in this competition so far while winter signing Runar Espejord scored on his debut at Parkhead in February.

José Mourinho is looking to win the first, second and third-tier European competitions, something only Giovanni Trapattoni has achieved as a manager.

However, he'll be trying to do so without star midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo who's out again, this time suffering an injury to his flexor muscles.

Roma do have Tammy Abraham though who's now scored 23 times this season after his brace in the Derby della Capitale.

This is the most a player has ever scored in their first campaign with Roma, breaking the record held by Gabriel Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella

Further back, Sérgio Oliveira is available after serving his one-match ban at home to Vitesse.

He'll continue to partner Bryan Cristante at the base of midfield.
