England humiliated by Iceland

Roy Hodgson’s England side suffered one of their most embarrassing defeats in their history on Monday night, losing 2-1 to Iceland in the last 16 of Euro 2016.

Despite Wayne Rooney putting the favourites into the lead, a dismal England performance allowed Iceland to score twice and failed to even threaten a late equaliser.

International minnows Iceland will now face hosts France in the quarter-finals, hoping to pull off yet another miraculous result.

Rio Ferdinand posts behind-the-scenes footage

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand watched the humiliating England defeat in the BBC studio alongside England greats Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer… and Jermaine Jenas. He got 21 caps for his country – give him a break!

Rio Ferdinand posted footage watching the game next to his fellow BBC pundits. It doesn’t make for pretty watching for English football fans.

Watch the video below and skip to 3:10 for the start of the game. However, Ferdinand’s pre-match thoughts are interesting too.
